Monkey Palace
Not too many monkeys at the monkey palace today. There are many 'mini stupa' (pictured above). The dog is sleeping ... a common site in Kathmandu. The dogs are community owned and are generally very well behaved. Another common site throughout Nepal are prayer wheels. The writing says 'Om Mani Padme Hum'. This is the Buddhist mantra. Each wheel is filled with prayers. By spinning the wheels you release your prayer(s) and those of the prayers enclosed.
