There are a couple people out there who will recognize this space quickly . . . literally . . . two people.

2010.03.26 - A Good Read

A Good Read

We checked out the portrait photography exhibit at the De Young this evening and found this fellow engaged in his book along the way.

2010.03.25 - SF Palms

SF Palms

Not too many palm trees to be found in San Francisco.  These, however, call the area in front of the ferry building home.

2010.03.24 - Suspended Flight

Suspended Flight

... literally.  These are butterfly cut-outs suspended by string from a ceiling.

Gilt

I love this frame (and the painting inside it).

2010.03.20 - The Hand

Piano Fingers

I put my new flash to use for this shot.  Otherwise a dark room, I reflected the light off of the white ceiling opened up to f/5.6 and took it at 1/50th of a second.  Thankfully Michelle wasn't playing too fast.  Click on the image for a large version where you can see clearly the ring I designed for her.

2010.03.07 - Lunch

Lunch

Lettuce, sesame seed bread, saleme, sun dried tomatoes, corn, feta cheese, vinegar and balsamic vinegar = a pretty and yummy lunch.

2010.03.06 - Spots

Spots

All too common but not something I've done before . . . I took a photo and then in Photoshop made a duplicate B&W image where I cleared out the area where the yellow flowers were.  Not my my best attempt but it seems okay.

2010.03.05 - Towering

Towering

After looking at this photo on screen I thought it looked a lot like a summer time shot.  In reality I was freezing this morning while I stood outside Grace Cathedral.

2010.03.04 - For Laughs

For a bit of humor I am posting these two images of my new flash.  Before using it with my DSLR I thought it would be fun to test it out on my P6000 (works great by the way).  In case you didn't pick up on the humorous bit  . . . its the size ladies and gents . . . the size.
