Today is Ash Wednesday. Before singing for the mass I took notice of how the lighting was setting the mood and I tried to capture it in this photo. Although the focus of the mass isn't on the priests I did like how the velvet chairs with programs popped with the flood light above.

I took a few shots of this perpective walking along Bush Street but found this one (when I was walking) to provide the most interest. The still shots were too static.

Spring Light
Spring is coming! We took a bike ride around San Andreas Lake and Crystal Springs Resevoir. Paved trails run for about 6 miles and have some pretty spots to pause and enjoy a little nature.

We went out to Baker Beach (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker_Beach) today to watch the sunset and caught some spectacular scenes. It was an unusually warm day and there were plenty of people at the beach . . . it was just cold enought to keep the nudists away. The waves were also spectacular. They looked to be between 4 and 12 feet.

I was messing around with a slick insulative product that was in part composed of a water wicking substance. When I rubbed my hand on it it too became waterproof . . . thus the droplet of water beaded up like mercury.

I was heading back from Los Angeles today and snapped a few photos of sheep as we were driving by. I caught the back side of a black sheep (look left).
