This is my first attempt at creating a lomography affect to a 'normal' image.  I took a similar approach to the directions provided at Fstoppers (http://fstoppers.com/how-to-create-the-lomo-photography-look-in-photoshop).  You can see what the original (completely unedited) image looked like below.

This was my first year at Carnaval in San Francisco's Mission District.  It was incredible!  It was sooooo much bigger than I expected.  The dancing, costumes, and energy were over the top.  Needless to say I will be back next year.

This is a house that Thayer and I designed in Yountville.  The finishing touches are being made to complete the house. Many efforts were made to make this house as 'green' as possible.  It has a high thermal mass (stone exterior) and a great double height space that allows for excellent ventilation and light.  The beams you see in the ceiling are made from reclaimed antique beams.  I think the floors are also made of reclaimed lumber.  The chandelier is made of old wine barrel staves.  Once we get the office website up I'll have more photos of the house up there.

Bay To Breakers did not disappoint as usual.  I can only picture this event happening in San Francisco.  It brings out the best and worst in the city.  Professional athletes, drunks, people in costumes, people without any clothes at all find themselves completely welcome at our city's party (er .... race).

Sailing twice in one week!  The wind looked to be too strong to make it out to the bay so we hung out around Alameda.  We saw dragon boat races and a few small sailboat races ... another good day on the water.  Thanks Eric!

I love sailing.  Plain and simple.  Today was a great day for it.  The weather was ideal - good steady wind, good tides, and sunny weather.  The last photo is a unique view of the underside of the new Bay Bridge as it is constructed.
