This is a house that Thayer and I designed in Yountville.  The finishing touches are being made to complete the house. Many efforts were made to make this house as 'green' as possible.  It has a high thermal mass (stone exterior) and a great double height space that allows for excellent ventilation and light.  The beams you see in the ceiling are made from reclaimed antique beams.  I think the floors are also made of reclaimed lumber.  The chandelier is made of old wine barrel staves.  Once we get the office website up I'll have more photos of the house up there.

  1. Chris,
I am really impressed! This house is beautiful and making it green adds to its appeal. It is refreshing to see that green can also be eye catching.
