There are many great architectural details in downtown San Francisco. This beautifully carved marble detail is (of course) at the Royal Insurance Building. I think they need to fix their clock ... it was was about 1pm when I took this. On a side note, I finally went into the Cable Car Clothiers shop around the corner. Looks to be a great shop for your manly man swag. I'll definitely go back there for my next bow tie.

We made our way down to Año Nuevo state park (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=523) today to check out the elephant seals. It has been a few years since we have been back here. It is a must see for anyone in northern California. Make sure to make reservations months in advance. We hit the end of the 'busy' season. Most of the harems were breaking up after the prime mating season. There were quite a few pups and weiners around. A couple large males were also soaking up the sun (see top photo). On our way back home we stopped at the historic Moss Beach Distillery (http://www.mossbeachdistillery.com/index.html) for a delicious lunch and great views. Hopefully it won't take us another 6 years to go back.
2011.02.13 - Musée Mécanique
Big thanks to Josh and Matea for suggesting we check out the Musée Mécanique (http://museemecaniquesf.com/). I have wanted to go for some time and finally checked it out today. It is located at the end of Taylor street (Fisherman's Wharf). What is it? An amazing arcade which houses games and novelties, some over 100 years old. Most pieces only cost a quarter or two. This place is amazing. They also have Pac-Man and other digital arcades for those of you who only want to step 25 years back in time.
