Exposed
There are a couple people out there who will recognize this space quickly . . . literally . . . two people.

A Good Read
We checked out the portrait photography exhibit at the De Young this evening and found this fellow engaged in his book along the way.

SF Palms
Not too many palm trees to be found in San Francisco. These, however, call the area in front of the ferry building home.

Thayer Hopkins created this mobile from various photos of buildings designed by FME over the course of 30 years. The 30th anniversary of the firm (originally Fee + Munson) was two days ago.

Piano Fingers
I put my new flash to use for this shot. Otherwise a dark room, I reflected the light off of the white ceiling opened up to f/5.6 and took it at 1/50th of a second. Thankfully Michelle wasn't playing too fast. Click on the image for a large version where you can see clearly the ring I designed for her.

Spots
All too common but not something I've done before . . . I took a photo and then in Photoshop made a duplicate B&W image where I cleared out the area where the yellow flowers were. Not my my best attempt but it seems okay.

Towering

2010.03.04 - For Laughs
For a bit of humor I am posting these two images of my new flash. Before using it with my DSLR I thought it would be fun to test it out on my P6000 (works great by the way). In case you didn't pick up on the humorous bit . . . its the size ladies and gents . . . the size.
